Hello everybody! You are all very welcome to the second part of this series of paid Antivirus scanning tests   On this second part it will be tested F-Secure Antivirus 2011, Kaspersky 2011 and McAfee Antivirus Plus 2011   Starting with F-Secure   I have already previously installed the software   That is the version 2011, 10.51   I kept the default settings   And nothing has been changed   I have previously disabled the real-time protection   And I have brought to this virtual machine the same folder used on previous tests with a total of 1000 threats   Here they are   I will update F-Secure’s database with last signatures   Database is updated   I will now re-enable real-time protection   That is enabled!   I will do now a full scan of this folder with 1000 threats   I will return at the end with the results   At the end of this first scanning process   F-Secure found 879 viruses, 15 spyware and five riskware   Here you can also see related a total of 894 malwares found   Which is a result of Virures plus Spyware   I will do now a second scan of this folder and I will be right back with the results   At the end of this second scanning process   Despite still finding threats F-Secure cannot delete them   Let’s see now how many files are left in this folder   From a total of 1000 threats, left over 135   And here they are   Let’s calculate   1000   minus   135   So, the detection rate of F-Secure Antivirus on this test was 86.50 %   Well, I will install now Kaspersky Antivirus and I will be right back   Well, now we are going to test kaspersky Antivirus 2011   I have just installed the software   I kept the default settings   And nothing has been changed   This is version 11 of Kaspersky   I have previously disabled the real-time protection   And I have brought the folder with 1000 threats to the Desktop   I am now updating Kaspersky Antivirus database   I will await the end of this process to go ahead   I will be right back   Database is updated as you can see   I will now re-enable Kaspersky’s real-time protection   That is enabled!   I will do now a full scan of this folder with Kaspersky   I will return at the end with the results   At the end of scanning process that took 18 minutes and 45 seconds   From a total of 1000 threats, 906 objects were detected on this first scanning process   I will eliminate now the threats detected by Kaspersky and I will return at the end of this process   This is the first alert   I will apply “Delete” option for all infected files detected by Kaspersky   I will return at the end with the results   At the end of the process Kaspersky informs that files put into quarantine are not infected. You are advised to restore them   So, let’s follow Kaspersky’s recommendation and click on “Restore”   Let’s see now how many files are left in the folder   158   I will do now a second scanning process with Kaspersky and I will be right back   At the end of this second scanning process just one file was detected   There is no more alert from Kaspersky showing the presence of threats   Let’s see now how many files are left   157 files   I will do a last scanning process   Nothing was found this time   So,   1000   minus   157   And this is the detection rate of Kaspersky Antivirus 2011 on this test, 84.30 %   Well, I will install now McAfee Antivirus Plus and I will return to go ahead with this second part of the series of paid antivirus scanning tests   So far, thanks for watching! I will be right back   I have just installed McAfee Antivirus Plus   I have previously disabled the real-time protection   And I have brought the folder with 1000 threats to the Desktop   Here you can see the 1000 threats   I will now update database of McAfee Antivirus Plus 2011   Database is updated   I will now re-enable real-time protection   OK!   I will now start scanning this folder with McAfee   I will return at the end with the results   At the end of the first scanning process   819 threats were found: 34 viruses, 770 trojans and 17 PUPs   There is left on this folder a total of 177 files   I will do now a second scan and I will be right back with the results   In this second scan it removed two more threats   I will do now another scanning process and I will be right back with the results   At the end of this third scanning process no new threat was found   Let’s see now how many files are left in the folder   A total of 177 files   So,   1000   minus   177   82.30 %   This was the detection rate of McAfee Antivirus Plus 2011   Well, now I will go for the third and last part of this series of tests   In this final step will be evaluated Norton Antivirus 2011, Panda Antivirus and the Vipre Antivirus 2011   I find you in the third stage of this series of tests with paid antivirus   Thanks for watching until now!   • @asasdedi, um dos grandes problemas do antigo A-Squared era justamente o elevado índice de falsos-positivos como você muito bem salientou. Não posso te assegurar como a nova versão do Emsisoft Anti-Malware está se comportando frente a este tipo de arquivo. Muito obrigado pelo seu comentário e pela assistência do vídeo!

  • @abccrb123, utilizo o Windows XP nos testes por ser ele ainda o sistema operacional mais comum na maioria dos computadores com Windows.

  • Um arquivo pode conter mais de um objeto – alguns podem conter 3 ou mais – e no caso o F-Secure faz a detecção por objetos e não por arquivos como outros antivírus. A diferença é puramente uma questão técnica. Tive muito trabalho na realização destes testes e os realizei com muita dedicação e honestidade meu caro. Não admito portanto este tipo de ofensa da sua parte, pois você demonstrou desconhecer os fatos. Eu lhe peço por favor que você não faça mais comentários aos meus vídeos!
